Thunderbolt Device Wakes MacBook

Hi,

I have a Resident Audio T4 thunderbolt audio interface connected to my MacBook Pro 2015.

The T4 is connected to a pair of monitors with standby function - they goes to sleep after no signal for 20 min.

For some reason, if I keep the T4 connected to the MacBook and let the MacBook enter sleep, the T4 turns on for a second (after being off for few minutes) and by doing so, also waking up the monitors.

The only workaround I found for this issue is to unplug the T4 from the MacBook, however this is not an ideal solution.

I contacted the tech-support of the T4 manufacturer but they are unaware of this issue.

Any idea what can cause this issue and how can I resolve it?
